Warranty Information

Equipment sold by IMPERVITA carries the manufacturer’s own warranty. IMPERVITA does not issue a separate warranty of its own, and we do not extend, shorten, broaden, or reinterpret what a manufacturer offers. Nothing on this website should be read as an IMPERVITA warranty wider than the applicable manufacturer or supplier warranty, unless we have expressly said so in writing for a specific product.

How it works

  • Warranty terms are set by the manufacturer and are published on each product page. The terms disclosed for your product, and recorded on your order, are the ones that govern it.
  • Cover typically differs by component — a cabinet, a heater, a chiller, and a control board are often covered for different periods.
  • Keep your proof of purchase and the serial number; both are needed for any claim.
  • We help you open and track a claim, but the manufacturer determines the outcome.
  • Where no specific terms are published for a product, it carries the applicable factory-level warranty and customer support. Coverage, exclusions, claim procedures, and available remedies vary by product.
  • A defective Final Sale product is handled under the applicable warranty or defect policy. A defect does not automatically result in a refund — the remedy available is whatever that warranty provides, which may be a repair, a replacement, or a part.

Buying through an approved channel matters here: equipment bought outside a manufacturer’s authorized network is frequently excluded from warranty cover entirely.

Warranty length and scope differ by product. Across the current catalog they run from one year to five years from the date you receive the product, they cover different components, and they differ on commercial use — some manufacturers exclude it entirely unless a separate commercial agreement is in place, while others cover normal commercial use up to the product’s specifications. All of them are limited to the original purchaser, are non-transferable, and require valid proof of purchase. The terms for your product are on its product page.

Starting a claim

If you bought the equipment from IMPERVITA, start the claim with us. We hold your order record, the serial number, and the terms that were disclosed to you, and we open the claim with the manufacturer on your behalf. Going direct to the manufacturer first usually sends you back to the seller anyway.

The exception is where a published product-specific policy lawfully directs a claim elsewhere — for example straight to a manufacturer’s service network or an authorised regional service agent. Where that applies, it is stated on the product page, and we will still help you get to the right place.

  • Contact us with your order number, the serial number, and the date the fault appeared.
  • Send clear photographs or video of the fault, and of the model and serial plate.
  • Describe what the equipment does and does not do, and what you have already tried.
  • Observe any reporting window stated for your product — several manufacturers require defects and transit damage to be reported within a short period of delivery, and a late report can end the claim.
  • Do not attempt a repair, or have a third party attempt one, before the claim is assessed. Unauthorised repair is an exclusion under most of the warranties we sell against.

What manufacturer warranties generally do not cover

Exclusions are set by each manufacturer and differ, so read the terms for your product. Across the catalog, the exclusions that recur are:

  • Normal wear, cosmetic marking, fading, and consumable parts.
  • Improper, incomplete, or unqualified installation, and incorrect site preparation.
  • Incompatible or inadequate electrical or plumbing infrastructure.
  • Unauthorised modification, alteration, or repair, and non-approved parts.
  • Misuse, neglect, failure to follow the operating instructions, and failure to carry out required maintenance, cleaning, or water treatment.
  • Operation outside the published specifications — session limits, temperature ranges, weight limits, occupancy, or duty cycle.
  • Damage from weather, freezing, flood, fire, pests, or power events.
  • Commercial use of a product warranted for residential use only.

Commercial and professional settings

Warranty cover for commercial, clinical, studio, gym, hospitality, or rental use exists only where the specific product and its manufacturer expressly support that use, and it is often shorter than the residential term. Put commercial use to us before you order so we can confirm what the manufacturer will actually stand behind — installing a residential-rated unit in a commercial setting normally voids the warranty from day one.
