What This Solves
Ice is what kills a cold plunge habit. Bags cost money every week, the temperature is different every session, and the twenty minutes spent preparing the tub is twenty minutes you often decide you do not have. A plunge with the chiller built into the shell removes the preparation entirely - the water is already cold when you walk up to it.
Why You’ll Want to Use It
- The 1HP chiller is integrated into the shell, so there is no separate chiller cabinet to site, plumb and hide.
- Holds a set temperature instead of relying on bags of ice, which is what makes a daily habit realistic.
- A 37–108°F range means the same tub can be run cold for recovery or warm for a soak.
- Freestanding acrylic construction — it sits on a level floor rather than needing a built-in surround.
- Specified for indoor and outdoor placement, and offered in three finishes.
Why Buyers Choose This Model
- The chiller is integrated into the shell. There is no separate unit to place, plumb or hide, and nothing extra to buy.
- A 37-108F range means the same tub does cold immersion and warm soaking - a rare combination at this size.
- A 1HP chiller holds temperature rather than chasing it, so session two feels the same as session one.
- Premium acrylic in white, black or metallic, specified for indoor and outdoor use.
- Freestanding on a level floor near an outlet - no groundwork.
What Each Feature Actually Does
- Integrated 1HP chiller
- Cold water on demand with no ice, no separate chiller cabinet and no plumbing between two units. The single biggest difference between a plunge you use daily and one you use occasionally.
- 37-108F temperature range
- The same tub covers cold immersion and warm soaking, so it does not sit unused in the months when a cold plunge is the last thing you want.
- Premium acrylic shell
- Non-porous and easy to wipe down, which keeps maintenance to minutes rather than a routine.
- Freestanding installation
- Stands on a level floor near an outlet. No groundwork, no drainage project.
- 110V 60Hz or 220V 50Hz
- Specified for either supply, so it can be matched to your property. An advisor confirms which configuration you need before your order is released.
- Indoor and outdoor rated
- A garage, bathroom or deck all work, so placement is not forced by the equipment.
- Two jets and centre or left drainage
- Emptying and changing water is a decision you make in advance rather than a problem you discover.

Technology
The Frost is a self-contained cold plunge. A 1HP chiller built into the shell circulates and cools the water to a setpoint you choose on the control panel, holding it there between sessions so the tub is ready when you are. The manufacturer specifies a range of 37–108°F (3–42°C), a 12A draw, and either a 110V 60Hz or 220V 50Hz supply. Drainage can be taken from the centre or the left side. The manufacturer does not publish a water volume, a filtration or sanitation specification, or a filter service interval for the Frost — those are the questions worth settling before you buy, and an IMPERVITA Wellness Advisor will put them to the manufacturer in writing.
Choosing Between the Models
Choose the Frost if you want the simplest possible ownership: one unit, no ice, nothing to plumb together, and warm soaking as well as cold. If you already own a tub and are icing it by hand, the Frostgard Pro chiller adds cooling, filtration and sanitation for $3,999. If you want a cedar plunge instead of acrylic, the Svalvik includes a 1HP chiller at $6,399, the Aurland lets you add one later at $6,299, and the Isvik is the smallest and lowest-priced cedar option.
Still weighing two models? Talk it through with an advisor - no obligation, and no pressure to decide on the call.

FAQ
How much water does it hold, and what will it weigh when full?
The manufacturer publishes a 475 lb empty weight but does not publish a water volume or a filled weight for the Frost. Rather than estimate it, an advisor obtains the filled figure from the manufacturer before you order — it is exactly what an upper floor, a deck or a balcony has to carry. Ask an advisor to obtain the volume from the manufacturer before you commit — particularly for anywhere other than a ground-floor slab.
How is the water filtered and sanitised?
The manufacturer does not publish a filtration or sanitation specification for the Frost, nor a filter type or replacement interval. Cold water still needs managing, so treat this as an open question and have an advisor confirm the maintenance routine and any consumables in writing before you order.
Can it be left outside in winter?
The manufacturer specifies the Frost for indoor and outdoor use but does not publish a climate limit or freeze-protection detail. Any water-filled equipment left below freezing without protection is at risk. If it will live outdoors in a cold climate, confirm the manufacturer's winter guidance with an advisor first.
What electrical supply does it need?
The manufacturer specifies 12A at either 110V 60Hz or 220V 50Hz. A 12A continuous load should be on its own circuit, and anything outdoors or in a bathroom needs appropriate protection. Have a licensed electrician confirm the circuit before delivery.
How is it drained and filled?
Drainage can be taken from the centre or the left side, so plan the tub's position around where the water will go. The manufacturer does not publish a plumbed-in fill, so plan on filling it from a hose or tap.
Are the three finishes the same price?
Yes. White, Black and Metallic are all offered at the same price, and all three are shown in the manufacturer's official product photography.
Does it work with a sauna for contrast sessions?
That is the most common way it is used. Pair it with an Auris outdoor cedar sauna or a Lumin infrared cabin and plan the two together — an advisor can help sequence the space, the power and the drainage in one go.

Why the Frost
Almost nobody stops cold immersion because they stop believing in it. They stop because of ice. Hauling bags, waiting for a tub to come down to temperature, finding it warm again the next morning — the logistics beat the habit within about a month.
A chiller solves that, and the Frost puts the chiller inside the shell rather than in a separate cabinet you have to site, plumb and hide. It holds whatever temperature you set between sessions, so the tub is simply ready. The range runs from 37°F up to 108°F, which means the same unit can be run cold for recovery or warm for a soak.
Finishes
Three finishes at the same price: White, Black and Metallic. All three are the manufacturer’s current product options, and all three appear in the manufacturer’s official photography — the gallery above shows each one so you can see them before choosing.

Where a cell says the manufacturer does not publish a figure, we have left it blank rather than estimated it. Those are the questions an advisor will put to the manufacturer in writing before you order.
Who it suits — and who it does not
It suits one person at a time, home gyms and garages, bathrooms, decks and terraces, and anyone who has already tried the ice-bag approach and given up on it.
It does not suit two people together — it is a single-person tub — or a buyer who is not prepared to maintain water. A plunge is the higher-maintenance half of any recovery set-up, and it is worth being honest with yourself about that before ordering.
Residential and commercial use
Specified for residential use. the standard manufacturer warranty excludes commercial use unless separately agreed, so gyms, studios, clinics and hospitality settings need different terms — speak to IMPERVITA PRO before ordering.
What to settle before you buy
The Frost has more open questions in the manufacturer’s published data than any other product in the range. We would rather list them plainly than paper over them.
1. Filled weight — the one that actually matters
The manufacturer publishes a 475 lb empty weight but does not publish a water volume or a filled weight. Water is heavy: a tub of this size holds a substantial load once full, and the filled figure is exactly what an upper floor, a balcony or a timber deck has to carry. We will not estimate it. If the Frost is going anywhere other than a ground-floor slab, have an advisor obtain the filled weight from the manufacturer and, if there is any doubt, have the structure checked.
2. Filtration and sanitation
The manufacturer does not publish a filtration or sanitation specification, a filter type, or a replacement interval. Cold water still grows things, and it still needs managing. Treat this as an open question and get the maintenance routine and any consumables confirmed in writing before you order.
3. The circuit
12A continuous at 110V 60Hz or 220V 50Hz. A continuous 12A load should have its own circuit, and anything in a bathroom or outdoors needs appropriate protection. Have a licensed electrician confirm this before delivery — it is not included in the price.
4. Drainage and filling
Drainage can be taken from the centre or the left side, so the tub’s position is partly decided by where the water will go. The manufacturer does not publish a plumbed-in fill, so plan on filling from a hose or tap. Work out both before the tub arrives rather than on the day.
5. Outdoors in a cold climate
The Frost is specified for indoor and outdoor use, but the manufacturer does not publish a climate limit or freeze-protection detail. Any water-filled equipment left below freezing without protection is at risk, and freeze damage is excluded from warranty cover. If it will live outdoors through a cold winter, confirm the manufacturer’s guidance with an advisor first.
Delivery and installation
Delivered by freight to a kerbside appointment at 475 lb crated. The manufacturer does not offer its professional installation service on the Frost, so we do not offer it here — siting, levelling, the electrical circuit and drainage are arranged by you. Measure the route from the kerb to the final position, including doorways, gates and any steps, before you order.
Maintenance
Expect this to be a real, if small, routine: keep the water treated and monitored, rinse before you get in, keep the cover on when it is not in use, and drain and clean the shell periodically. Clean the acrylic with a non-abrasive cleaner only — abrasives will dull the finish permanently. Because the manufacturer does not publish the filtration detail, agree the exact routine with an advisor before your first fill.
Shipping and lead time
Every unit in these ranges is made to order, so the lead time is production time rather than a warehouse pick. The manufacturer currently quotes approximately 15–30 business days for this range. We confirm the current window when your order is placed, and we will not give you a fixed arrival date we cannot stand behind.
Delivery is by freight carrier to a scheduled kerbside appointment. Shipping to the continental United States is included in the price shown. Read our shipping and delivery terms.
Warranty
The manufacturer provides a 1-year limited warranty on the Frost Cold Plunge, covering the tub body, plumbing components and the integrated chiller when used and maintained according to the product guidelines. Cover begins when you receive the product.
What is not covered: Normal wear, discolouration or changes in wood appearance over time; improper installation or failure to follow the setup and maintenance instructions; misuse or neglect; unauthorised modification or repair; commercial use unless separately agreed; and damage from weather, fire, flood, pests or power surges.
Warranty cover applies to the original purchaser, is non-transferable, and requires proof of purchase. IMPERVITA handles the claim with the manufacturer on your behalf — you do not chase the manufacturer yourself. Warranty information.
Returns and transit damage
Freight damage is the one thing worth being strict about. Inspect the crate before the driver leaves, photograph anything that looks wrong, and note it on the delivery paperwork. Report damage or a defect within 7 days of delivery, with photographs, before installation.
Outside of defect and transit-damage claims, the manufacturer treats made-to-order units as final sale. That is precisely why we would rather talk the specification through with you first. Your statutory rights are unaffected. Read our returns policy.

Sauna and cold plunge together
A cold plunge is most often bought alongside heat. The Auris outdoor cedar saunas and the Lumin infrared cabins are the two routes to it — outdoor and traditional, or indoor and plug-in.
Plan the two as one project rather than two purchases. The things that catch people out are practical, not technical:
- Layout and sequencing — how far you walk between hot and cold, wet, in bare feet.
- Power — two appliances, two loads. Establish what each needs before either is delivered.
- Water and drainage — where the plunge empties to, and whether that point is where you want the tub.
- Delivery — two freight deliveries, two access routes, ideally not on the same afternoon.
- Maintenance — a plunge needs regular attention; a sauna needs very little. Be honest about that upfront.
We do not sell a discounted bundle for this. What we do instead is plan it with you — build your recovery room or speak with an advisor and we will sequence it properly.
What the research actually looks at
The cold-water literature is genuinely mixed, and worth reading before you buy rather than after. One finding is particularly practical: cold immersion straight after resistance training may blunt some strength adaptations, which is an argument about timing rather than about cold itself. Evidence varies by protocol, population, temperature and technology, and none of it establishes that this product diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any condition. We publish the papers so you can read them yourself.
