What This Solves

Sizing up usually means taking on an electrical project as well. The Lumin Three is the largest cabin in the range - 60 in of internal length, three seats - and the manufacturer still specifies it as 110V plug-powered, so the jump in capacity does not automatically become a jump in installation work.

Why You’ll Want to Use It

  • Three-person capacity with a 60-inch internal length — enough to stretch out rather than sit upright.
  • Still plug-powered at 110V, so a large cabin does not force an electrical project.
  • Canadian hemlock construction with a ventilation window for airflow mid-session.
  • The room-scale option for a household that wants one cabin rather than staggered sessions.
  • The natural sauna partner to a cold plunge in a dedicated indoor recovery room.

Why Buyers Choose This Model

  • The largest cabin in the Lumin range: 60 in internal length and three-person capacity.
  • Specified as 110V plug-powered, so a household with three regular users is not automatically committed to electrical work.
  • Freestanding indoors - no base, no groundwork, no permanent alteration to the room.
  • Canadian hemlock, low in aroma, which matters more in a cabin this size inside a house.
  • A ventilation window, which counts for more the longer the session and the more people are in the cabin.

What Each Feature Actually Does

60 in internal length
Enough room to lie down rather than only sit, which is the practical difference between a cabin for three and a cabin that seats three.
110V plug-powered
The largest cabin in the range still runs from a standard domestic supply. Because it is the largest, confirming the circuit matters most here - an advisor confirms your supply in writing before your order is released.
Far-infrared heating
Warms your body directly rather than heating the room, so a cabin this size still reaches usable heat quickly.
Three-person capacity
A sauna the household uses together rather than in shifts.
Ventilation window
Keeps air moving through a longer session with more people in the cabin.
Canadian hemlock
Light and low in aroma, so a cabin of this size does not scent the room it stands in.

Designed For

Best for

  • Indoor rooms — a spare bedroom, basement, garage conversion or home gym
  • Owners who want heat therapy without building work or a dedicated outdoor base
  • Renters and movers who need equipment that can be relocated
  • Anyone pairing infrared heat with cold immersion in one recovery room

Not ideal for

  • Small rooms - at 60 in long and 1,250 lb this needs real floor space
  • One or two regular users - the smaller Lumin cabins heat faster and cost less
  • Anyone who wants the humid heat and steam of a traditional sauna - infrared cannot make steam
  • Outdoor installation - these are indoor cabins
  • Commercial premises - commercial use is not covered by the standard warranty

Technology

Infrared saunas heat you rather than the air around you. Emitters in the cabin walls radiate far-infrared energy that your body absorbs directly, so the cabin runs at a much lower air temperature than a traditional sauna while still raising skin and core temperature. That is why an infrared cabin plugs into an ordinary room and reaches temperature quickly, and why the experience feels milder and drier than heater-and-stones heat. The manufacturer specifies the Lumin Three as 110V plug-powered with a digital control panel and a ventilation window. The manufacturer does not publish a wattage or heater count for this model, and that matters more here than anywhere else in the range because this is the largest cabin. Rather than estimate it, an advisor confirms the figure with the manufacturer in writing before your order is released. Confirm the circuit at your property with an IMPERVITA Wellness Advisor before ordering — the cabin plugs in, but a dedicated circuit is still the sensible way to run it.

Choosing Between the Models

Choose the Lumin Three if three people will use it or you want room to lie down. If it is mostly two of you and you want the electrical draw published before you order, the Lumin Two is $2,000 less and states 1750W. The Lumin One is the smallest and least committing at $7,999. For humid, steam-capable heat, the Auris cabins are traditional saunas built for outdoors.

FAQ

Will it fit through a standard doorway?

The assembled cabin is 60 inches long, 47 deep and 75 high, so it is delivered as panels and assembled in the room. The panels are the constraint, not the finished cabin — measure your doorways, turns and stair widths and confirm the crate sizes with an advisor before ordering.

Can it really run from a normal plug?

The manufacturer specifies the Lumin Three as 110V plug-powered. Because the manufacturer does not publish a wattage for this model, we recommend confirming the current draw with the manufacturer and giving it a dedicated circuit — that is the sensible approach for the largest cabin in the range.

How much floor space do I need?

Allow the 60" × 47" footprint plus clearance to open the door and room to walk past it. A 6 ft by 5 ft clear area is a realistic planning figure. Confirm your room with an advisor before ordering.

Is it better value than two smaller cabins?

For a household using it at different times, one Lumin Three is simpler than two cabins — one delivery, one circuit, one warranty. If you need genuinely simultaneous private sessions, that is a different conversation. Speak to an advisor.

Does it include audio or an ionizer?

No. The manufacturer lists speakers, USB/FM radio and the oxygen ionizer for the Lumin Two only. The Lumin Three is specified with a digital control panel and a ventilation window.

What does the warranty cover?

One year, covering the infrared heating panels, control systems, wood structure and electrical components in normal residential use, starting when you receive it.

Why the Lumin Three

Two things push people to the largest cabin in the range, and only one of them is capacity. The first is a household where more than two people will use it. The second is quieter: at 60 inches of internal length, the Lumin Three is the only Lumin where one person can comfortably lie down rather than sit upright — which, for a lot of buyers, is the entire point.

It stays plug-powered at 110V despite being the biggest cabin the manufacturer makes in this range, so a larger sauna does not turn into an electrical project.

Compare the Lumin models

The three Lumin cabins share the same construction and the same technology. What changes is capacity, the control panel, and what is fitted as standard.

Related products

Who it suits — and who it does not

It suits households of three, buyers who want room to stretch out, and anyone building a dedicated indoor recovery room where the sauna is the centrepiece.

It does not suit tight rooms — the 60 by 47 inch footprint plus door clearance is a real commitment of floor space — or buyers who want the speakers and oxygen ionizer, which the manufacturer lists for the Lumin Two only.

Residential and commercial use

Specified for residential use. the standard manufacturer warranty excludes commercial use unless separately agreed, so gyms, studios, clinics, hotels and rental properties need different terms — speak to IMPERVITA PRO before ordering rather than after.

What to settle before you buy

The floor space, honestly measured

Allow the 60 by 47 inch footprint plus clearance to open the door and room to walk past it. A clear area of roughly 6 feet by 5 feet is a realistic planning figure. At 1,250 lb, check the floor structure if it is going anywhere other than a ground floor or a slab.

The circuit — and the missing number

The manufacturer specifies the Lumin Three as 110V plug-powered but does not publish a wattage for it. That matters more here than on the smaller cabins, because this is the largest of the three. We will not estimate it. Ask an advisor to obtain the current draw from the manufacturer, and give the cabin a dedicated circuit.

Access and assembly

Cabins of this type ship as flat panels and are assembled in the room, so the finished dimensions are not the constraint — the panels and the crate are. Freight delivery is to a kerbside appointment. Measure doorways, stair widths, turns and lift dimensions on the route, and confirm crate sizes with an advisor before ordering.

Installation

Delivered by freight to a kerbside appointment for customer placement and plug-in set-up. The manufacturer does not offer its professional installation service on the Lumin range, so assembly and siting are yours to arrange. Given the size of this cabin, walk the access route with an advisor before you order.

Maintenance

Very little. Wipe the benches and floor down after use and leave the door open so the cabin dries; hemlock is left unsealed and will change tone slightly over time, which is normal and excluded from warranty cover as a defect. Keep the glass clean with a non-abrasive cleaner, and keep the emitters clear of towels and clothing. Follow the manufacturer’s supplied setup and maintenance instructions — departing from them affects your cover.

Shipping and lead time

Every unit in these ranges is made to order, so the lead time is production time rather than a warehouse pick. The manufacturer currently quotes approximately 15–30 business days for this range. We confirm the current window when your order is placed, and we will not give you a fixed arrival date we cannot stand behind.

Delivery is by freight carrier to a scheduled kerbside appointment. Shipping to the continental United States is included in the price shown. Read our shipping and delivery terms.

Warranty

The manufacturer provides a 1-year limited warranty on the Lumin collection, covering the infrared heating panels, control systems, wood structure and electrical components in normal residential use. Cover begins when you receive the product.

What is not covered: Normal wear, discolouration or changes in wood appearance over time; improper installation or failure to follow the setup and maintenance instructions; misuse or neglect; unauthorised modification or repair; commercial use unless separately agreed; and damage from weather, fire, flood, pests or power surges.

Warranty cover applies to the original purchaser, is non-transferable, and requires proof of purchase. IMPERVITA handles the claim with the manufacturer on your behalf — you do not chase the manufacturer yourself. Warranty information.

Returns and transit damage

Freight damage is the one thing worth being strict about. Inspect the crate before the driver leaves, photograph anything that looks wrong, and note it on the delivery paperwork. Report damage or a defect within 7 days of delivery, with photographs, before installation.

Outside of defect and transit-damage claims, the manufacturer treats made-to-order units as final sale. That is precisely why we would rather talk the specification through with you first. Your statutory rights are unaffected. Read our returns policy.

Sauna and cold plunge together

Most people who buy an Auris or Lumin sauna are building toward the same thing: heat and cold in one place, so a contrast session does not depend on a gym timetable. The Frost Cold Plunge is the cold half of that set-up.

Plan the two as one project rather than two purchases. The things that catch people out are practical, not technical:

  • Layout and sequencing — how far you walk between hot and cold, wet, in bare feet.
  • Power — two appliances, two loads. Establish what each needs before either is delivered.
  • Water and drainage — where the plunge empties to, and whether that point is where you want the tub.
  • Delivery — two freight deliveries, two access routes, ideally not on the same afternoon.
  • Maintenance — a plunge needs regular attention; a sauna needs very little. Be honest about that upfront.

We do not sell a discounted bundle for this. What we do instead is plan it with you — build your recovery room or speak with an advisor and we will sequence it properly.

What the research actually looks at

Infrared and traditional saunas are different exposures — different temperatures, different durations, different mechanisms — so findings from one do not automatically transfer to the other. Evidence varies by protocol, population, temperature and technology, and none of it establishes that this product diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any condition. We publish the papers so you can read them yourself.

Browse the IMPERVITA Research Library. Nothing here is medical advice — talk to a qualified clinician about your own circumstances, particularly if you are pregnant, or have cardiovascular or blood-pressure conditions.
