Shipping & Delivery

Most of what we sell is too large for parcel carriers. Saunas, plunges, chambers, and massage chairs travel by freight, on an appointment, and often need more than one person at the destination.

Shipping and delivery vary by product

There is no single shipping rule across the IMPERVITA catalog. The terms that apply to a product are shown on its product page before you buy, and they may include any of the following.

  • Flat-rate shipping — some products carry a product-specific flat shipping charge, shown on the product page and calculated at checkout. Others include shipping in the price, and others are quoted for your address before you pay.
  • Processing time — stated per product where it is known, for example three to five business days, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Processing time is separate from transit time.
  • Delivery method — where curbside/driveway delivery is the standard method for a product, the product page says so.
  • White-glove service — white-glove delivery is not included in standard delivery and may be available as an optional additional service.
  • Installation — installation is not included in the standard purchase price and is charged separately when applicable.
  • Free-shipping promotions — where IMPERVITA is running one, an eligible shipping charge is waived at checkout. We do not advertise free shipping as standard.

Products are shipped directly to the delivery address on your order. For installation information, call 623-505-2732 or email sales@impervita.com.

Some products are sold on specific freight terms — for example a $500 flat shipping rate with curbside/driveway delivery only, white-glove service available as an optional additional service rather than as standard, installation charged separately, and processing in 3–5 business days, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Those terms apply only where the product page says so, and they are disclosed there before purchase.

Service levels are set per product, because not every manufacturer supports every level. The product page lists exactly which of these apply — nothing is implied by default.

  • Standard Freight — curbside delivery on a scheduled appointment.
  • Threshold Delivery — brought inside the first doorway.
  • Room of Choice — carried to the room where it will live.
  • Assembly — assembled on site by the delivery team.
  • Packaging Removal — crating and packaging taken away.
  • Professional Installation — installed and commissioned by a qualified installer.
  • Setup Assistance — a walkthrough of settings and first use.

Before delivery day

Measure the route, not just the room: doorways, stair turns, ceiling height, and the gate or lift the crate has to pass through. An advisor will walk through this with you before the order is placed, because a return caused by access is expensive for everyone.

Freight cost, lead time, and available service levels are confirmed in writing before you pay.

Site readiness — confirm before you order

Confirming that a product suits your intended location, and that the site can actually take it, is the customer’s responsibility. We will tell you what we know and an advisor will work through it with you, but we cannot inspect your site. Where any of these apply to the product you are considering, settle them before you order rather than on delivery day.

  • Electrical — voltage, amperage, and whether the unit needs its own dedicated circuit and breaker. Check the outlet type and position, and whether GFCI protection is required. Anything beyond plugging into an existing suitable outlet needs a licensed electrician.
  • Plumbing and drainage — how the unit is filled and drained, where the water goes, and whether the floor has fall to a drain. Wet rooms need a plan for splash and spill, not just for the unit.
  • Ventilation and environment — airflow around the unit, humidity, heat the equipment sheds, and the ambient temperature range it is rated for. Check whether the model is rated for indoor or outdoor placement; an indoor cabinet outdoors is a warranty problem and a safety one.
  • Structural support — what the floor, deck, or pad carries when the unit is filled and occupied, not when it is empty. A plunge full of water and a person is a serious point load. Upper floors, balconies, and timber decks need checking, and sometimes an engineer.
  • Clearances — the manufacturer’s required space around, above, and behind the unit, plus room to open panels and service it later.
  • Delivery access — the full route, not just the room: street, driveway surface and gradient, gate width, path, steps, doorway, stair turn, lift dimensions, ceiling height, and anything that would have to come off its hinges.
  • Permits and local rules — permits, inspections, electrical or building code, HOA rules, or tenancy conditions that apply where you are.

Where installation is required by the manufacturer or by local code — or where it is simply the sensible route — use a suitably qualified professional. The limits of our responsibility where a site is not ready are set out in our Terms & Conditions.

On delivery day

Inspect the shipment before the driver leaves and before you sign. Photograph the crate, check every side for damage, and note every defect on the delivery paperwork — signing clean can end a damage claim. Keep the packaging until any claim is resolved. The full procedure and the reporting window are in our shipping policy, and the window for your product is on its product page.
